History
In 1922, Muzeen & Blythe was founded by Roland Muzeen and Fred Blythe, who shared a vision of building a company that supported commercial and industrial establishments in Winnipeg. Originally located at 187 Sutherland, Muzeen & Blythe’s operation grew in tandem with our city – servicing and supporting local businesses from all types of industries, including lumber, clothing, forestry, government, food production, air transport, building trades, packaging and even the military.
During World War II, Muzeen & Blythe proudly served our country by machining and fabricating British troop transport vehicle components. Then in the early 1960s, Muzeen & Blythe branched off into the design and repair of custom-made paper roll handling and packaging equipment – and eventually patented our own roll transportation system, known as the Harmax Airoller.
As the years progressed, our company continued to grow – thanks to the leadership team, including Jake Unrau who became the sole owner in 2008, and our long-serving team of specialists. In 2014, Muzeen & Blythe relocated to our current location at 1221 Inkster Blvd., where we continue to service companies – locally, nationally and internationally – to this day.
With 100-plus years’ experience supported by our intuitive gift for creativity and inventiveness, we take great pride in developing solutions for any given project. Our goal is, and always has been, to build solutions that lead to long-term relationships, and we look forward to working with you.
