Introducing Muzeen & Blythe’s OECD Testing Carrier Discs:
the foundational testing platform to eliminate viruses and germs.
It all started with the SARS outbreak in 2003. At that time, the world was facing its first 21st century pandemic and Muzeen & Blythe saw an opportunity: to test killing the SARS virus on different surfaces.
We created these little discs to replicate a universal, commercial-grade work surface: stainless steel. These discs are Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) approved and used by our partner, the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), to assess bacteria, fungal and viral growth on the surface. Hospitals, universities, and cleaning companies from all over the world use these discs to test products and their effectiveness when it comes to cleaning surfaces.

Stainless Steel Testing Carrier Discs
AISI Type 304 Stainless Steel Testing Carrier Discs
1cm non-magnetic disc made of ASI Type 304 Stainless Steel - 0.8mm thick (22 gauge).
150 grit unidirectional brushed finish on one side.
European Specification X5CrNi18-10 Number 1.4301
Japanese Specification JIS 4303 SUS 304
Burrs are manually removed.
Discs are passivated by ASTM A967 in citric acid solution.
Shipped in a clear polyethylene plastic shipping tube with a maximum capacity of 150 discs per tube. Each tube comes with a custom label to indicate job number, quantity, part number and batch number.

1cm magnetic disc made of ASI Type 430 Stainless Steel - 0.8mm thick (22 gauge).
No. 4 finish on one side and round edges on the top side.
The finish can be anywhere between 120 and 150 grit.
